They tell us what happens when two kids are forced to be penpals by their teachers and make up a whole series of tall tales in order to make their letters to each other sound more exciting. ReplyDeleteI read this story too and thought it had a really good message! How long did it take you to realise as you were reading that they were both telling 'Tall Tales'?
I think the pet Chimp was a bit of a stretch of the imagination!

It did take a while till we had found out that they were BOTH telling " Tall Tales " .
