Darius and Waata from Room 15 have finally published their podcast of "Whitebait Fritters" by Kingi McKinnon. This is a pretty popular book with Pt England readers and you may have seen Leauma and Sam's earlier podcast of the same book. Of course it is a really interesting story, but we supspect all the talk of food and fishing is popular with our readers too. Why don't you check out both podcasts and see what each pair of podcasters found interesting to them.

KPE Episode 282: "Grounded"
Raenan and Oshania have chosen a story from King McKinnon's collection "Tales from the Swamp" for their first podcast. These students are both Year 5 from Room 15. The story they have chosen, "Grounded" brings out some stories of their own as they talk about the book! As part of the podcast they invite you to make some predictions about the conclusion. KPE Episode 136 - Whitebait Fritters
"Whitebait Fritters" by Kingi McKinnon.
Leauma has read this book and Sam is his DJ. These boys are in Room 17. This is the story of a boy and his Dad who go on a fishing trip for the weekend to the Waikato River. Wiremu's father is going whitebaiting - and Wiremu wants to go too. His father thinks he is too young and may fall in the river. Then Mum takes Wiremu's side and his father gives in. But his father's turns out to be right about the falling in. As Leauma says in his podcast, this book has lots of fishing, lots of cooking, lots of eating- perfect for boys! What do you think?
